1963 Chevrolet GS Replica
The Mongoose Motorsports Grand Sport is a replica car based off the 1963-1964 Corvette race car built by General Motors to be a "Cobra Killer." There were only five Grand Sports built by GM, two of which were converted to roadsters. Having such a limited number of originals, the GS became a prime candidate for reproduction. In today's market an original will sell in the millions, where you can enjoy a Mongoose for under $100K. Today Mongoose offers four versions of the coupe and roadster, from basic replica to the turnkey replica. Based on the professionally engineered creations from Mongoose Motorsports, all Grand Sport replicas feature high quality, custom fabricated components, from the frame to body to interior, with late model Corvette suspensions.
We are offering this brand new Mongoose Grand Sport replica at a price well under the $100k figure listed above. This is a brand new car built on one of Mongooses 4" round mild steel tube chassis' with C4 corvette suspension and brakes. It has a GM Performance Parts 502 crate motor making 502hp and 567lb/ft mated to a Tremec TKO 600 5 speed manual transmission with .64 overdrive and a Dana 44 rear with 3.54 gears. The interior is outfitted with our Grand Sport replica seats with 5 point safety harnesses, power windows, tilt steering column, heat and defrost. The exterior of the vehicle is painted in the original Grand Sport blue with white and red racing stripe. The hood is the Daytona 4 hole hood with louvers. This car also has the front spoiler option, passenger mirror upgrade, and rear oil cooler. The wheels are PS engineering Replica 5 lug wheels 17"x9" in front and 17"x11" in the rear with 275/40ZR-17 front and 315/35ZR-17 rear Summitomo Tires. The vehicle has approx 380 miles on it and has not been titled. It is awaiting its first lucky owner.
